"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV)
Meredith was born into a loving Christian family in Suffolk, Virginia. Growing up, her grandmother modeled biblical womanhood with an emphasis on serving others and included Meredith in service projects. Meredith studied psychology and English at the University of Mary Washington where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014.
In January 2017 Meredith nervously came to Montrouis, Haiti to spend a few days here with a friend who had previously been on a short-term mission trip. She was inspired by conversations with her Haitian friends about ways to improve the local economy. Seeing how much hope a close relationship with Christ brought to people facing hardships in Haiti moved mountains in her heart.
After her visit to Haiti, as suggested by indigenous missionary Alex, Meredith prayed for God to use her like an instrument. Meredith feels her call to Haiti is an unexpected and amazing answer to prayer.
While in Haiti, Meredith strives to grow relationships with our Haitian staff and the residents of the Matthew 25 house. She will be tutoring and working with the women’s ministry.
