Res Spears

“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works,

and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,” (Titus 2:7, ESV)

A native of Tidewater, Va., Res (rhymes with “peace”) Spears is a founding member of he board of directors for Supply and Multiply and has visited Montrouis on short-term and small teams on several occasions. He is the former editor of the Suffolk News-Herald a six-day daily in Suffolk, Virginia, where he also helped publish two full color lifestyle magazines in what he long saw as the ministry God gave him. In recent years, however, following multiple trips to Montroius, Res felt a calling to more direct ministry. He is now enrolled in his second semester toward a Masters of Arts Degree in Christian Leadership through Dallas Theological Seminary, taking most of his courses online, with a few hybrid classes where he spends weekends at the DTS satellite campus in Manassas, VA.

Res will continue his studies online from Haiti during the Spring semester of 2018. While there, he will concentrate his ministry effort toward discipleship and pastoral availability for the Supply and Multiply staff and residents and begin to work with Haitian staff to identify other opportunities to display the love of Christ in the community. He expects to be in Montrouis into June and then will return home, where he can continue some of the hybrid courses he will need for graduation.
